Hard Taffy

Ingredients:
2 cup sugar
1 cup corn syrup
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup butter/margarine
Pinch of salt

Directions:
Cook to hard crack, wash sugar off sides of pan with wet paper towel as it first starts to boil. Cool on 2 buttered plates. As it cools fold stiff edges to the middle of plate. Can add food coloring and flavoring. Once cool enough begin to pull until taffy turns hard.
